In autumn of 2009, the golden season for achievements and harvests the China Kunming International Flower Exhibition, organized by Yunnan People’s Government and the 5^th Kunming International Agricultural Exposition will be held from 19^th to 23^rd of September, 2009 at Kunming International Exhibition Center. The latter is supported by the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government and jointly organized by Department of Agriculture of Yunnan Province, Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, Yunnan Flower Industrial Office, C.C.P.I.T. (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Yunnan Branch and Kunming Municipal People’s Government.

　　The Agricultural Exposition, with the theme of “Building Urban Agriculture and Promoting Industrial Development”, has 1200 standard exhibition stands, being divided into the international exhibition area, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan exhibition area, flower exhibition area, gardening exhibition area, tea culture exhibition area, fruit and vegetable exhibition area, crop and oil exhibition area, agricultural byproduct exhibition area, agricultural scientific exhibition area, outdoor agricultural tool (equipment and capital) area and the delicacy area.  Meanwhile the agricultural products assessment and agricultural development forum will be held aiming to build a cooperative platform for producers, operators and consumers so as to promote agricultural goods communication and marketing.

　　Kunming has mild climate, sufficient sunshine, fertile soil, ecological agriculture, developed special agriculture and extensive agricultural development prospect. Kunming International Agricultural Exposition has been successfully held for 4 times.  Nearly 1000 companies participated the 4^th Kunming International Agricultural exposition and established over 1800 stands. More than 300,000 businessmen and visitors are attracted for negotiation and shopping.  Some agricultureal cooperation contracts were signed during the time.  Now, Kunming International Agricultural Exposition has become a large-scaled agricultural exposition with great influence in Kunming and even the Southwest Region of China.  In order to implement the state principle of “remaining growth, people’s benefit and stability”, fully taking Kunming’s geographic advantages of capital city of Yunnan Province and closing to and connecting the ASEAN countries and South Asian countries, and promote the exchange and cooperation both at home and abroad to overcome the current economic downturn, we sincerely invite governments at different levels in different regions of China and from abroad and through you to organize corporations, business groups, institutions and associations to take part in the 5^th Kunming International Agricultural Exposition in 2009.
